Without Wings

Without Wings tells the powerful story of women who have been displaced from Nagorny Karabakh and are now raising their children on their own. Having lost their husbands to war or other circumstances, these women navigate life with resilience and quiet strength. The film captures their memories, emotions, and everyday struggles, offering an intimate look at the challenges they continue to face as they rebuild their lives in the aftermath of displacement.

This film was produced by Marine Mkrtchyan as part of an Media Initiatives Center project that focuses on the professional reintegration of displaced media workers and journalists in the aftermath of the 2023 military escalation in Nagorny Karabakh.
