About the project
In a new documentary film teams from Armenia and Azerbaijan will collaborate to tell the story of efforts over many years to achieve a peaceful resolution of the Nagorny Karabakh conflict.
The project is aimed primarily at people who were born after the First Karabakh War (1988-1994). This film will provide them with historical testimony of how the conflict developed and the efforts both sides have made to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict over the last 30 years.
The film will feature members of humanitarian and peacebuilding organisations. They will give first-hand accounts covering the nuances and challenges of the process to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict, as well as the conflict’s human cost.
Teams from both sides are now undertaking detailed research into the history of peacebuilding in the region and are developing a final concept. Filming will take place in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The project is due to finish in Spring 2026.
