The role the academic community can play in furthering Armenian-Azerbaijani dialogue
In this episode of the “Line of Contact — Current Topic” programme on CivilNet, experts Lala Jumaeva from Baku and Samvel Meliksetian from Yerevan discuss how academic research can to help rethink the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, shape a constructive agenda, and sustain dialogue between the two societies. In a region where academic research too can reproduce politcised and nationalistic narratives, high quality objective and scientific research may be one of the ways to build mutual understanding. The experts discuss examples of real research, analysis of the media landscape, experience of expert contacts, and reflections on what knowledge is needed to move toward peace.
