This report explores women’s perspectives on conflict and peace-making. It looks at the range of women’s positions, interests, needs and values, relating to their experience of conflict and violence, taking into account their diverse social positions. It also discusses the extent to which women constitute (or could constitute) an organised collective that can exert influence on the peace process.

Kvinna till Kvinna spoke with women activists and also with women most affected by the conflict. They found that the issues prioritised by these women have more to do with livelihoods and survival, education, employment, health and security, than militarisation or a military end to the conflict.
